OCEANFRONT PROPERTY OWNERS CAN BE REIMBURSED FOR LOST VIEWS

Oceanfront property owners can be reimbursed for views that are lost due to higher dunes.  The New Jersey Law Journal reports that an appellate court ruled in favor of eight Ocean City property owners who lost their ocean views when dunes grew higher than the town had promised.  This latest ruling suggests that property owners who lose ocean views that were promised to them can seek compensation even if eminent domain is not used to take the land for the dunes.
