OCEAN CITY WON’T RAISE SALARIES FOR DEPARTMENT HEADS

Ocean City Mayor Jay Gillian is now backing off a plan that may have resulted in some department heads having their top salaries raised.  Gillian issued a statement saying he’s backing off a plan that would raise the maximum salaries for some department heads including the police chief and fire chief.  The move came under fire, and Gillian says that will not ask council to pass the measure on second and final reading.
