The Cape May County Teacher of the Year for 2016-17 comes from the Ocean City school system. Mary Beth Libro, a third grade teacher at the Ocean City Primary School, was recently given the award, after submitting five essays and a two-page resume. Libro will now compete against winning teachers from the state’s 20 other counties for the New Jersey Teacher of the Year Award. To qualify, Libro will need to submit a 15-minute lesson on video, to be recorded during regular class time.
