OCEAN CITY TABLES COASTAL COTTAGES, FOR NOW

The Ocean City Council has tabled a an ordinance that would have revoked the conditional use qualification to build coastal cottages in the drive-in business zone.  Council held a long public hearing on the issue during its meeting last week and finally tabled the ordinance on a 5-1 vote.  Former Councilman John Flood testified during the hearing that the ordinance would essentially be “spot zoning”.
