OCEAN CITY RECONSIDERS DOGS ON THE BEACH FOR THE SUMMER

As of October 1st dogs are allowed on the beaches in Ocean City, but a local City Councilman proposed the idea of allowing dogs beach access during the summer. After much controversy and opposition, At-large Councilman Keith Hartzell has dropped the idea of letting dogs onto the beach, even with various restrictions. A few other shore towns have given dogs restricted beach access during the summer, including Wildwood, where a dog-friendly beach was created at Poplar Avenue in 2014.
