OCEAN CITY POLICE OFFICER SHOOTS AGGRESSIVE ROTTWEILER

A large fight was reported to Ocean City Police on Sunday. Police arrived at the 700 block of Bay Ave. just after 1 a.m. Ptl. John Vogt said that a large Rottweiler became aggressive and started to run towards him, Vogt fired two rounds and hit the dog both times. Those involved with the fight fled the area during the incident and have yet to be located. The Rottweiler was taken to Linwood Animal Hospital in Linwood to be treated. The incident remains under investigation by the Ocean City Police Department and the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office.
