OCEAN CITY MAYOR CALLS FOR WIRING INSPECTION

Since the news that the boardwalk fire in Seaside Park was started by damaged electrical wires, shore towns are checking for damage that could pose a fire hazard. The Ocean City Gazette reports that Mayor Jay Gillian is urging Ocean City property owners to seek professional help if their electrical components came into contact with saltwater. Ocean City Fire Chief Chris Breunig says the city has aggressively checked for hazards and wants private property owners to do the same.
