It looks like taxes will be going up in Ocean City this year. City Council introduced a budget just before the weekend that totals over $69 million and includes a tax increase of nearly one and a half cents per one hundred dollars of assessed valuation. Council was able to trim about $3 million off of the budget introduced by Mayor Jay Gillian earlier this year. Final action on the budget could occur at the April 24th meeting.
