OCEAN CITY GOES THROUGH FIRST READING OF DRONE BAN ORDINANCE

Ocean City advanced an ordinance that would ban the use of drones in Ocean City. Ocean City Mayor Jay Gillian said that while he acknowledged there is some good uses for drones, because state and federal lawmakers haven’t made regulations laws to limit their use, than the city needed to act. The bill would ban drone use within five miles of the Ocean City Airport. Council there advanced the meeting on a 1st reading, meaning in Nov. there is expected to be a public hearing on the ordinance.
