Ocean City Council met Thursday and unanimously approved an ordinance to acquire abandoned properties along the Ninth Street entrance to the city. The second reading of the ordinance will be held on August 25th. The city plans to acquire most of the properties via condemnation versus purchase. The northwest corner of Ninth and Bay Avenues is slated to become a large park.
