OCEAN CITY ETHICS BOARD DISSOLVED

After six years of existence, the Ocean City Ethics Board was eliminated. Ocean City Council voted to dissolve the board Thursday night by a 6-1 vote. Ethics complaints will now be directed to the state Local Finance Board. While council felt the board’s effect did not outweigh it’s cost to taxpayers, Ocean City residents testified that the board could be used to monitor public officials.
