OCEAN CITY COULD GET SOUTH END BEACH FILL IN 2014

Ocean City could be getting another beach fill project in 2014. Mayor Jay Gillian confirmed during a council meeting last week that the city is on a list of projects that the Army Corp of Engineers are looking at. In the report it calls for the project at the south end of the city as “previously authorized, but unconstructed Corps projects.” A beach fill project just finished up in the community in the past week. Many local communities have been short of sand from the Hurricane Sandy and nor’easter storm.
