Ocean City Council approved the 2013 budget at Thursday night’s meeting. The local tax rate in the city will rise by nearly three cents to 38.5 cents per $100 of assessed value. Since it’s introduction in April, Ocean City officials reorganized their departments, eliminated three jobs, and reinvested capital budget funds, in an effort to lessen the tax increase.
