Ocean City has funding in place to built a new firehouse at the cost of $2.1 million. City Council met before the weekend and decided to spend another $450,000 on the new firehouse at 29th Street. The old firehouse was condemned after being damaged in a storm and will likely be razed by Labor Day. The fire company will be housed at the municipal airport until the new firehouse is constructed.
