It was a busy election night on Tuesday. President Barack Obama has earned a new four year term, which included winning New Jersey. U.S. Senator Robert Menendez also won reelection right below Obama on the ticket. On a more local level, Congressman Frank LoBiondo also got a new two-year term. The big news was the Independents winning in Lower Township. Mayor Mike Beck, along with Norris Clark and James Neville defeated the Republican team. The GOP maintain control in Middle Township and Upper Township. The closest election was in Cape May, where Rusty Chew leads Mayor Ed Mahaney by two votes and remains too close to call. Stone Harbor Mayor Suzanne Walters, and Dennis Township Committeeman Al DiCicco will also keep their seats.
