President Barack Obama came to New Jersey on Monday. Obama visited Camden and spoke at Salvation Army’s Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center. A couple of years back, Camden went to a county police force and Obama recognized the drop in the crime rate, and the improved relations those officers have with the members of the community. Obama also said he would be working to limit to amount of military equipment that gets passed along to local law enforcement, saying it sends the wrong message to the community.
