NURSES MAY GO ON STRIKE AT SHORE MEDICAL CENTER

A potential job action is looming at Shore Medical Center in Somers Point. The Shore Nurses Union has voted to authorize a strike at the hospital unless a new contract is agreed upon in the near future. The action by the union allows it to issue a ten day notification to strike unless a contract deal is struck. The 340 nurses at the hospital have been working without a contract since September, 2014.
