NOT GUILTY PLEA ENTERED IN SEXUAL ASSAULT CASE

Last Friday an Ocean City Beach Patrol supervisor pleaded not guilty to charges of second-degree sexual assault. His attorney also filed a motion to dismiss the case against his client, 51 year-old Charles Cusack of Linwood, who is accused of having sex with a teenage Ocean City beach-tag checker in 2012. A Cape May County grand jury indicted Cusack in February and added a charge of official misconduct. Cusack’s defense attorney argued that the prosecution’s new indictment with the additional charge is unlawful, and cause for a motion to dismiss the case.
