An infant suffered injuries Tuesday evening in an accident that occurred at the intersection of Zion and New Roads in Northfield. NBC-40 reports that just before 5 p.m. on Tuesday, 50 year-old Avis Jackson, of Pleasantville, was driving a white minivan west on Zion Road, and failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of New Road. Her van collided with a green Nissan Maxima. An infant in the Maxima was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus, along with two other occupants in the car. Jackson was taken to Shore Medical Center. The extent of the injuries are unknown, although police say they are not believed to be life threatening. No charges have been filed, and the accident remains under investigation.
