The City of North Wildwood has studied the cost of changing it’s name by looking at all municipal assets that currently bear the North Widwood name. Officials estimate that the cost of changing the city’s name to Anglesea would cost taxpayers between $20,000 to $30,000. At a July North Wildwood Council Meeting, a petition was presented by lifelong resident Edward Wheaton, requesting the city change it’s name back to its historical roots, Anglesea. North Wildwood City Council approved a resolution on August 2nd, requesting the Cape May County Clerk to place a non-binding question on the November ballot.
