North Wildwood Mayor Patrick Rosenello has come out swinging in a dispute over the city’s emergency work on its beachfront. Rosenello issued a press statement Tuesday afternoon saying state and federal officials have repeatedly missed deadlines and failed to construct a mandated shore protection project. North Wildwood was called out by the NJDEP commissioner for destroying dunes and vegetation in order to stabilize their beach and provide resiliency for the town. Rosenello says the city will hold the NJDEP accountable for its “failure to act”.
