A rookie police officer from Jersey City has died of a gunshot wound, and the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear. Police confirmed that the officer was killed Sunday night inside a home on Woodlawn Avenue. The officer graduated from the police academy about a year ago; he was 33 years old.
