While Atlantic City’s casinos continue to lose money, non-gambling attractions are holding their own in the resort. According to statistics released on Monday, convention and event business was comparable to figures from 2012. The Atlantic City Convention Center hosted six events and accounted for $19.5 million in revenue to local businesses. Officials at the Atlantic City Convention & Visitors Authority believe the good news comes from those who visited the resort for New Year’s celebrations and to check out the damage from Hurricane Sandy.
