Trying to get UEZ funds available to their districts is going to be a 2012 project. State Senator Jeff Van Drew told Coastal Broadcasting that talks are continuing between Gov. Chris Christie and various lawmakers, including Van Drew. Christie decided the state would take all the revenue brought out of those zones and use it for the budget. Previously, some of the funds would go to improve parts of the district. Lawmakers want to get a way where the money can be applied for by the districts involved. Wildwood and Millville are both impacted in the 1st district.
