Unless we tax the rich, my signature won’t be on a state budget. Those words coming from New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy this week, who says he will not sign any budget that doesn’t include another tax on those earning more than $1 million a year in the Garden State. Lawmakers have been cool to support the tax idea, which could result in another budget stalemate in a month.
