A fire in Hamilton Township was put out quickly early this morning. Police there say they got a report of the Atlantic Medical Imaging at the Festival Mall on fire. On arrival it was discovered that the building was filled with smoke. Cologne Fire entered the building along with Police.
Investigation found the cause of the fire was a bathroom vent fan had been left on. The fan overheated and caught fire, then dropped to the floor. This ignited a plastic clothes hamper which burned and filled the building with smoke.
The building suffered smoke damage but no significant damage from the fire.
