The New Jersey Education Association says they are done talking about how to fix the pension system in the state. Gov. Chris Christie put together the New Jersey Pension and Benefits Study Commission to look at the issues at hand. The NJEA released a statement on Tuesday saying that recent court decision shows the state has an obligation to fully fund the pension system based on a 2011 agreement between public sector unions and the state. NJEA President Wendell Steinhauer said there will be “no further discussion” between the two sides on the issue.
