NJ TRANSIT PUSHES TO HIKE FARES

Train and bus riders could be paying more on New Jersey Transit soon. The agency proposed a 9 percent increase in prices, which would be the first fare increase in five years. NJ Transit is also pushing to eliminate 6 bus routes and 2 trains. If approved, the new fare prices would go into effect in Oct.
