NJ TRANSIT MAY END FREE FARES FOR WORKERS

Another employee perk may be coming to an end. Officials with New Jersey Transit say they are planning to change their policy of allowing unlimited free travel for their employees. A new proposal would no longer allow non-union employees and non-union retirees free rides for non-business reasons. The proposal is part of Governor Chris Christie’s emphasis on accountability to taxpayers.
