Bus service will be returning to Sea Isle City. State Senator Jeff Van Drew and Sea Isle City Mayor Leonard C. Desiderio made the announcement. NJ Transit announced last month that bus service in Sea Isle City would be suspended due to weight restrictions on the Townsends Inlet Bridge between Sea Isle and Avalon which were implemented after a recent bridge inspection.
Van Drew and Desiderio met with top NJ Transit officials in Sea Isle, where they walked local streets in an effort to determine an acceptable route so that service could continue. They reached an agreement on a new route this week.
Van Drew and Desiderio said they expect the new bus route to be implemented shortly.
