New Jersey lawmakers on Monday are set to vote on a new bill that would give students the ability to get a free lunch at school even if they haven’t paid their account in full. the new bill would give parents ten days to pay a student’s lunch tab before lunch service is denied. One New Jersey district was caught throwing lunches in the trash because students did not have enough money to pay for their meal.
