NJ GAS STATIONS POWERLESS DURING “SANDY” TO GET HELP

One of the biggest problems during Hurricane Sandy is being addressed by the Christie administration.  Governor Chris Christie announced that more than 250 gas stations who had gas but no power to pump the gas during the storm last year will be eligible for $7 million in federal funding to buy backup generators.  The gas stations that were clobbered by the power outage largely sat near major highways in northern New Jersey.
