Acting New Jersey Attorney General John Hoffman has resigned to take a job at Rutgers University. Rutgers announced Thursday afternoon that Hoffman has resigned his job; he had been working as the state’s top law enforcement official since 2013. Hoffman will oversee an office of 18 attorneys at the university.
