A major boating rescue was conducted off the coast of New Jersey on Sunday, and nine lives were saved. The United States Coast Guard responded to a report of a recreational boat that collided with a submerged jetty and immediately began to sink in Barnegat Light. The Coast Guard rescued six people from the water, while Sea Tow rescued three others. Five adults and four children were on the boat, and there were no injuries. The Coast Guard reports everyone on board the recreational boat was wearing a life jacket.
