NEWBORN DOLPHIN FOUND DEAD ON SEA ISLE CITY BEACH

A newborn dolphin was found dead on a Sea Isle City beach Friday night. The Marine Mammal Stranding Center responded to the beach near 52nd Street to examine the beached dolphin. Officials reported finding multiple propeller marks on the dolphin’s body to indicate the mammal was hit by a boat. This was the sixth newborn dolphin to wash up along the New Jersey coastline this year.
