The new Roy Gillian Welcome Center for Ocean City will hold a grand opening ceremony Friday morning. The center is located near the entrance to Ocean City on the south side of the new Route 52 Causeway. The welcome center was designed as a replica of the old Ocean City Yacht Club building that was demolished in 1944. The new facility will be open daily until 6 p.m. and includes restrooms and wrap-around decks with views of the inter-coastal waterway.
