It’s been more than six years since a major supermarket chain operated a store within the boundaries of Atlantic City. That all changes on Thursday when a Save-A-Lot supermarket opens inside the Renaissance Plaza at Atlantic and Kentucky Avenues. The site was the former home to an IGA supermarket which closed it’s doors in 2006. The majority of the new Save-A-Lot employees live in Atlantic City. The food chain operates over 1,400 nationwide, featuring discounted pricing.
