The N.J. Department of Community Affairs has named a new state fiscal monitor to guide Atlantic City through their financial woes. Rick Richardella has been named as the new monitor, replacing Ed Sasdelli, who recently resigned his position. Richardella previously worked to help implement the Camden County police force and also reviewed the police department in Atlantic City last year. The resort has until November 3rd to come up with a fiscal plan to save the city from a state takeover.
