NEW SIXERS GENERAL MANAGER INTRODUCED TO MEDIA

The Philadelphia 76ers officially have a new general manager. The Sixers announced Sam Hinkie to the post during a press conference on Tuesday. He previously was the executive vice president of basketball operations for the Rockets. Hinkie will be in charge of hiring a new head coach. Doug Collins took the team to the playoffs in his first two years, but the team disappointed this season behind an injury to Andrew Bynum.
