NEW RULES ANNOUNCED TO ENHANCE BEACH ACCESS

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection proposed amended rules to enhance public access to New Jersey’s beaches, bays and waterways. The Cape May County Gazette reports that DEP Commissioner Bob Martin made the announcement on Monday, after considering numerous public comments. The new guidelines will provide greater access for fishermen, clarify rules on marinas, and give the public better opportunities to help their municipalities develop access plans.
