Construction will soon begin on a new Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting facility at Atlantic City International Airport. An official groundbreaking ceremony for the $14.3 million facility on Friday, October 28 at 10:30 am at the airport will launch the start of construction.
The 40,700 square foot facility will replace the existing decades-old station which has been leased from the FAA Technical Center located in the airport complex. Coinciding with the expiration of the lease, the development of a new facility will better meet the demands and space requirements for a state-of-the-art rescue and firefighting facility at the airport.
