NEW POLL: WHELAN LEADS, BARELY

Yet another pre-election poll shows 2nd District democratic State Senator Jim Whelan with a very small lead over his republican challenger, Assemblyman Vince Polistina.  A new poll released Thursday afternoon by the Hughes Center at Stockton College gives Whelan less than a three point lead over Polistina, making the race too close to call at this point.  Meanwhile, republican assembly candidates in that district hold a significant lead over their democratic counterparts.  The election is next Tuesday.
