NEW POLL SAYS PEOPLE LESS CONFIDENT IN STATE

Optimistic feelings in the state might be going away. A new poll by Monmouth University says that only 65 percent of state residents say the state is a great or good place to live, which is down from 70 percent in April. Since then, the state’s unemployment rate has risen to nearly 10 percent. The poll is the university’s “Quality of Life index.”
