NEW POLL: GET PUBLIC MONEY? PROVIDE BETTER BEACH ACCESS

A new poll says that towns that get public money to improve its beaches should provide better access to those beaches. Rutgers-Eagleton did the survey, which was paid for by the Surfrider Foundation. The poll shows 82 percent of those polled felt better beach access should be provided by shore towns that get public money. Currently, there is no rules about required public access to beaches. Those improvements could include more parking, access points, or bathrooms.
