NEW PARKWAY BRIDGE TO OPEN IN AUGUST

The new Great Egg Harbor bridge on the Garden State Parkway is almost open. The work that began in 2013 should open in August. Work won’t be completely finished till October. This span on the southbound would replace the side of the bridge that was built in 1954. The northbound side was built in 1954. The work for the project will connect Upper Township and Somers Point not only for drivers, but also pedestrians and cyclists.
