NEW LEGISLATIVE MAP MUST BE COMPLETED IN 60 DAYS

Census data was released on Thursday and now the clock is ticking. Lawmakers have 60 days from yesterday, to come up with a new map. The map will make up the legislative districts for the next 10 years, which could go a long way to determining which political party has power over the next decade. Parts of the state had large growth or sharp enough declines to warrant those districts being redrawn.
