NEW LAW WOULD PROHIBIT CHILD BRIDES IN THE GARDEN STATE

Child brides will soon be illegal in the Garden State.  A State Senate committee has approved a new bill that would prohibit anyone under the age of 18 getting married in New Jersey.  Children who are 16 to 17 years old can currently get married in New Jersey, but only with their parent’s consent.
