NEW JERSEY TOWN TO DISBAND POLICE DEPARTMENT

A Monmouth County town is looking to disband its police service, citing financial concerns. Lake Como is seeking proposals from nearby towns to cover the service in the municipality. According to the municipalities figures, they wouldn’t be able to stay under the two percent cap and keep their own police department. There is roughly 2,000 people who live in Lake Como.
