A 28 year old soldier who was once stationed in New Jersey was killed this week in Afghanistan. Sgt. Jonathan A. Gollnitz was one of two United States soldiers killed this week when an insurgent who was wearing an explosive vest detonated it near a patrol. Gollnitz was once stationed in Lakehurst as part of the Navy before he enlisted in the Army.
