NEW JERSEY SEES MAJOR DROP IN FEDERAL DOLLARS

The amount of money coming back from the federal government to New Jersey took a major drop. New Jersey is got the least amount of its revenue from the federal government since the Great Recession. In the fiscal year of 2012-13, the state got 25.5 percent of its revenue from the federal government, according to the Pew Charitable Trusts. On average, states receive 30 percent of their funding from the federal government.
